Marcin Stanecki

Marcin Stanecki is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz and the Postgraduate Study of the European Law at the University of Lodz.

He is qualified as a specialist in occupational health and safety and holds pedagogical qualifications. He completed postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety at the Lodz University of Technology and postgraduate studies in pedagogy at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz.

Professional work and specialisation

For many years he has specialised in practical issues of labour law. This is supported by nearly 20 years of work experience in the State Labour Inspection, where – in addition to performing supervisory and inspection functions as an administrative body of the first degree – he performed the functions of a public prosecutor and employee representative before courts of first and second instances. He was a practising attorney-at-law for many years.

He taught postgraduate courses in occupational health and safety at the University of Economics and Humanities in Skierniewice. He also served as Municipal Consumer Ombudsman in Skierniewice. He wrote articles on labour law and occupational health and safety published in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Rzeczpospolita, INFOR.pl.
As the Director of the Labour Law Department at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, a position he held from 2021 to 2024, he was among the most influential lawyers in Poland – in the prestigious ranking organized by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, in 2022 he was ranked 23rd, rising to 16th place a year later.
As of 15 June 2024, he was appointed by the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, to the position of Chief Labour Inspector.
